About your teacher, Laura Schatz ~ Laura first approached yoga 10 years ago as a way to cure her chronic back pain. Through daily practice, Laura has remained committed to her love of anatomy and healthy movement. As a lifelong musician, Laura has always been fascinated by the integrity, precision, and creativity with which the Iyengar tradition approaches alignment. She continues to work and study at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Greater New York, where she is inspired every day to explore her personal practice and daily life with greater curiosity. She is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and completed her training at YogaWorks as well as studies anatomy at the Breathing Project in 2014.
