Aurora believes that the role of teacher is to provide a supportive, safe space for students to find their own practice. She aims to guide people towards finding their own postural variations and rhythm, always keeping in mind that change is the constant.
Aurora writes poetry and creative nonfiction about embodiment, gender, performance, memory, violence, trauma, health and healing. In her classes, expect an open, accepting environment, and perhaps some poetry, too.
Aurora has trained extensively in Yin, Restorative and Hatha yoga, in addition to her foundational 200hr training in Classical Ashtanga, she deepened her meditation practice and yoga philosophy studies through silent meditation retreats and intensive study with yoga and Buddhist teacher Michael Stone. She is certified to teach Relax and Renew through Restorative Yoga guru Judith Hanson Lasater. Her teaching practice combines these influences to create a spacious setting for students to feel into their bodies and breath.
